Android lollipopAndroid 5.O, otherwise known as Lollipop, will be the biggest update to Android’s software since, well ever.

As reported in one of our previous posts Lollipop will bring a complete change to the inner workings of the user interface as well as a much needed visual overhaul. We have already listed some of its possible stand out features and highlights such as increased device operational speeds and enhanced battery life.

But what about the features that are just as exciting, more useful even that may not have had a lot of coverage as of yet? Well, we here at Fortune Frenzy have compiled some of our favourite Lollipop features into a neat list to help you out and salivate over Google’s upcoming sweetest treat.

1. Do not disturb

This enhancement gives the user great ability to modify when and at what time you receive notifications meaning you can set your parameters and never have to adjust the handset volume ever again.

2. Ambient display

Android literally illuminates your handset when you want it most. With Ambient display activated your phone will fire up when taken out of a pocket or off the desk and will also light up when you receive a notification or call.

3. Tap and go

Tap and go uses your devices NFC chip to good effect here by allowing a quick physical tap between both your new and old Android devices to shift data and contacts super fast and super quick.

4. Android beam

As expected Android beam has been beefed up to allow bigger file transfers between devices to help keep all your files in order.

5. Smart lock

The smart lock feature is something which we think will be one of the most useful upgrades yet. Essentially, smart lock will work by selecting already paired and authorised Bluetooth devices and then will open them without you having to input pins or passwords – a great addition.
