The year might be halfway over now, but have no fear. The World Cup of 2018 is nearly upon us! Taking place in Russia in just a few quick weeks, the 2018 tournament will be the culmination of all the qualifying games that took place across continents in the years leading up to this one.

It really will be an extraordinary World Cup 2018, as there was so much controversy surrounding it, but it seems that things have come around in the end. The teams participating in the group stages are more than excited to be heading to the stadiums across Russia and Kaliningrad, and the fans are mustering up their strength to make the journeys as well, some of them halfway around the world!

Needless to say, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Russia hosting the World Cup of 2018, not to mention the rumours that they had bought the ‘opportunity’ to host this football fiesta.
