Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is in a race to be fit for the World Cup. The Egyptian forward dislocated his shoulder after falling awkwardly from a challenge by Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final last week. Salah has said this week that he is confident he will be fit enough to play at the World Cup and most football fans sincerely hope he will be.

Salah has been in blistering form for Liverpool this season and some have even labelled him as currently being the most in-form player in world football. He won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award in his first season with Liverpool and scored 44 goals in just 52 appearances. Needless to say, it would be a devastating blow for Egypt if he isn’t able to get fit for the World Cup.

Nevertheless, considering he is confident of playing in Russia, let’s have a look at the Salah World Cup odds currently circulating around the betting markets.

The Salah Top Scorer Odds World Cup

Of course, one of the main betting markets punters will be looking at when considering Mo Salah is the top goalscorer/Golden Boot market. The Liverpool man was the top goalscorer in the Premier League this season, and evidently knows where the goal is.

Here are odds at some of the most popular sportsbooks:

  • 33/1 at Betfair, William Hill and Betfred
  • 40/1 at Bet 365, Ladbrokes, Sky Bet, BetVictor, 888 Sport, Paddy Power and Coral
  • The current best odds are 50/1 and these odds are available at Betway

Salah is obviously not going to be playing in a team quite as good as Liverpool in Russia. Still, if he is fit, you would definitely fancy him to score a goal or two. Golden Boot winner? Perhaps not.

The Other Salah World Cup Betting Options

There are many other Salah World Cup bets out there, whether focused on Salah himself or Egypt. Below are a couple of other Salah bets with great odds.

  • 300/1 at 888 Sport and LeoVegas on Salah providing the most assists at the World Cup
  • 66/1 offered at Coral, BetVictor and Ladbrokes on Salah winning the Golden Ball award

Sky Bet have recently removed Salah from a couple of their bets which we can only assume is down to the uncertainty of whether he will actually be playing at the World Cup. If he is deemed fit to play, there will be more options at Sky Bet relating to Salah, undoubtedly.

You could also bet on Egypt and therefore wager on Salah in an indirect way. Here is a selection of some good Egypt World Cup bets:

  • 15/8 at Sky Bet for Egypt to qualify from their group
  • 8/1 at Sky Bet on Egypt winning Group A
  • Paddy Power and Sky Bet are offering 9/1 on Egypt reaching the quarter-finals
  • 35/1 at Paddy Power on Egypt reaching the semi-finals
  • 100/1 at Sky Bet on Egypt reaching the final

It remains to be seen whether Salah will be fit for the World Cup, but the options are still definitely there if you want to take a risk and place a bet on Salah. We would advise you to just stick for a little while and get confirmation of his inclusion or not in the Egypt squad. Everyone at Fortune Frenzy hopes Mo Salah will be fit for the World Cup!
