Morocco Squad

With the World Cup 2018 fast approaching, fans and bettors alike are now closely scrutinizing which players have been selected for each of the competing squads and how this may impact how the competition plays out.

Morocco haven’t managed to qualify for a World Cup tournament in over 20 years and so manager Herve Renard will be surely feeling the pressure. A couple of weeks ago he announced who he has selected for his 23-man squad via Twitter, and luckily he has a few star players to rely on.

Morocco World Cup 2018 Squad: Strengths and Weaknesses

From the names listed above, Morocco are looking likely to have a surprisingly strong attack. The star player to watch is sure to be Hakim Ziyech, who plays for Ajax at league level, but he will be supported by talented players such as Carcela, El Kaabi and Harit too.

The biggest weakness we can identify in the Morocco squad at the moment is with their first-choice goalkeeper, Munir Mohamedi.

Having started in only one league game, his form is questionable and this could be what lets Morocco down in the competition.
