Brazil Starting Eleven

Whilst Brazil have arguably one of the strongest 23-man squads travelling to Russia for the World Cup 2018, there will be a lot of pressure on manager Tite to select a formidable starting eleven for their first match against Switzerland.

Check out who we think may be selected below, and who will be the ones to watch.

Brazil World Cup 2018: Who Is Expected to Start?

As we’ve just mentioned, Brazil’s first match of the World Cup 2018 will be against Switzerland on the 17th of June and although we won’t know for sure who’s made the starting eleven until then, it’s actually pretty easy to predict who Tite might select.

This is because, in an unusual move, Tite actually announced who would be starting for Brazil in the World Cup 2018 all the way back in February!

It served to show confidence in his star players and although the fact that Dani Alves is now not playing due to injury means the line-up may be set to change, the original list still looks more than impressive!

Here are the players Tite has named as his starting eleven, ahead of their first match:

  • Neymar
  • Coutinho
  • Gabriel Jesus
  • Paulinho
  • Alves (now injured, possible replacement Danilo)
  • Renato Augusto
  • Casemiro
  • Miranda
  • Marquinhos
  • Marcelo
  • Alisson
