Saudi Arabia Starting Eleven

Many national teams heading to the World Cup 2018 have announced their 23-man squads. This includes the likes of Saudi Arabia, but they have yet to come out with their initial 11 first squad for their match against Russia, even though their match is next week.

We can speculate and deliberate all we want (because it’s fun) but it’s always probable we’ll get less than half of it right. In any case, here’s all the 23 player squad:

  • Mohammed Al Owais, Yasser Al Mosailem, Abdullah Al Mayouf, Mansoor Al Harbi, Yasser Al Shahrani, Mohammed Al Breik, Motaz Hawsawi, Osama Hawsawi, Omar Hawsawi, Ali Al Bulaihi, Abdullah Al Khaibari, Abdulmalek Al Khaibri, Abdullah Otayf, Taiseer Al Jassim, Houssain Al Mogahwi, Salman Al Faraj, Mohamed Kanno, Hattan Bahebri, Salem Al Dawsari, Yahya Al Shehri, Fahad Al Muwallad, Mohammad Al Sahlawi (Al Nassr), Muhannad Assiri.

And here is our speculation as to who the starting 11 players will be:

  • Goalkeepers:Mohammed Al Owais
  • Defenders:Mansoor Al Harbi, Yasser Al Shahrani, Mohammed Al Breik
  • Midfielders:Abdullah Al Khaibari, Abdulmalek Al Khaibri, Abdullah Otayf, Taiseer Al Jassim
  • Forwards:Mohammad Al Sahlawi (Al Nassr), Muhannad Assiri

Quite an ensemble. We cannot wait to see how they will fair against Russia on 14th June.
