Every week, our aim is to bring you new and exciting games to play and, not to toot our own horn, but this week we think we’ve hit it out of the park! From Thursday (29th) all Fortune Frenzy players will be able to enjoy not one, but three brand new slots. Each slot has been developed with everyone in mind too, which is why they’ll be available across all devices, including mobile, desktop and tablet.
First up, we’re launching Hercules High and Mighty by Barcrest. As the name suggests, this slot features the Ancient Greek hero himself, and also boasts the brand’s ‘Big Bet’ mode technology. Secondly, we’re also giving you Sphinx Wild by IGT, which is an adaptation of one of their classic land-based casino machine games. Last but not least, we’re also releasing Ted by Blue Print Gaming. Hercules High and Mighty Slot By Barcrest
Hercules High and Mighty is a five reel, 100 payline game which is playable from 50p a spin, up to £500. Not all paylines will be active at all bet levels however, and in fact there will only ever be a maximum of 50 paylines active until you trigger the Mighty Reels feature or place a ‘Big Bet’.
One of the first things you’ll notice about Hercules High and Mighty is the unusual reel layout. You will be able to see some extra rows hidden behind the main reels. These become active when the Mighty Reels feature is activated, and you’ll then be playing on a 10×5 board, instead of 5×5.
There are two ways to trigger the Mighty Reels, and the first way is to enter the Extra Spins round. Extra Spins are awarded to players when they find three or more gold scatter coins anywhere on the reels. Three coins will give you eight extra spins, four coins will give you 12 extra spins and five coins will give you a whopping 20 extra spins. During your extra spins, the Mighty Reels become active when any part of an Expanding Wild lands in view. The wild is represented by Hercules himself, and he can expand to a 10 symbol-high figure! You can also retrigger the extra spins round by collecting more scatters, and this gives you a chance at winning up to 40 extra spins.
The second way to activate the Mighty Reels is to make use of Barcrest’s original Big Bet mode. This mode can be played for £20, £30 or £50, which may seem like a lot, but it definitely ups your chances at winning big. The £20 Big Bet mode will give you five spins, with the Mighty Reels able to become active when an expanding wild lands on the reels. The £30 Big Bet rewards you with the same perks as the £20 bet, with the addition of having the low value symbols removed.
Finally, the £50 Big Bet gives you 5 Big Bet spins, with low symbols removed, and where the Mighty Reels can become active when an expanding wild appears. However, this time the Mighty Reels will remain in play until you create a winning combination.
Sphinx Wild Slot By IGT
Wild is a five reel, 40 payline slot powered by IGT. It is actually an adaptation of one of their much loved bricks and mortar slot machines, and can be played from 40p to £400 a spin. It will be available across all devices, including iOS and Android mobile phones.
Visually, the slot is beautiful — the reels are set against a sunset backdrop and the symbols are all well detailed and fitting with the theme. It’s a little reminiscent of one of IGT’s most popular games, Cleopatra, which makes sense as they both revolve around an Ancient Egypt theme. Symbols include the traditional 10 to Ace playing card values as well as Anubis, The Eye of Horus, a Phoenix and some jewelry. The Sphinx Wild is, naturally, the game’s highest paying symbol and it will reward you with 25x your stake for a five of a kind combination. Although the name of the game suggests you should be focussing on landing wilds on the reels, it’s actually the scatter symbols which make the slot interesting. The scatter symbols trigger the Extra Spins Bonus round and they’re represented by a Pyramid. Landing 3, 4 or 5 of the symbols will give you a win of 3, 10 or 25x our stake, but that’s just the beginning! This slot is based around the Seth MacFarlane film, Ted, which focuses on the very cute — yet very offensive — living teddy bear, and his best friend John (played by Mark Wahlberg).
The slot boasts modern, cartoon-ish graphics, which include references to the movie. The reels are set against a sofa background, where Ted himself is sleeping, surrounded in beer cans. Symbols on the reels include traditional playing card values (J to A) as well as beer, bongs, his girlfriend from the movie and the Ted film logo. The Ted logo is the game’s wild, and can appear super stacked.
