Tesco have recently announced that they are to launch their own branded Android Smartphones by the end of this year. The super market giant will be aiming to offer more cost effective alternatives and for customers as well as giving them the option to select phones such as the Galaxy S5.

The first signs of Tesco wanting to jump head first into the mobile market was signalled at the beginning of May. This decision has come about, according to Tesco Chief Executive Officer Philip Clarke, as it has been identified that traditional retailers are losing lots of ground over the surge of online purchases especially on mobile phone devices.
Tesco have cleverly tapped into this lucrative market by preinstalling their native apps for their shopping sites into the new hardware. As well as shopping services, Tesco will also incorporate its mobile based banking app offering the user with an overall value laden package.
Fresh Specifications
Not only are Tesco looking to launch their Android phone range, tablets are also continuing to be part of their mobile business plan with an updated version of the successful Hudl tablet readying themselves for the shelves by the end of the year.
The new tablet could ship with Android 4.4.2, a quad-core Intel chip and a HD screen.
With these specs the mobile tablet market can offer excellent value for money, and for those wanting to play Fortune Frenzy in full HD splendour on an 8.2 inch screen, Tesco have the affordable solution.
A Tablet Too Big To Swallow?
With the Mobile and Tablet market ever expanding other technology giants such as Amazon are also ready to unleash their own branded smartphone by the end of the year which is set to appeal to its already large core kindle market.
Tesco certainly has its work cut out in this already mature market with so many big players already vying for choice spoilt customers, only time will tell.
