Wild Antics Mobile Slot Reviewed — Literally Ant’s Antics…

Wild Antics Feature ImageHow would you like to follow along on the Wild Antics of a hilarious school of ants? From their frantic escapes from an ant-eating aardvark to some ants quite literally going wild (by transforming into slot Wild symbols), this slot is not short on entertainment. There are four random features, mounds of extra spins and four different types of wild symbols, this slot is not stingy with payouts either. All of these elements together form the clever metaphor nestled in this game’s name too.

Game Basics

There are 20 paylines in Wild Antics, but certain bonus features can double the number of paylines. We’ll explain more in the next section. There are three mega-value bugs to look out for – the caterpillar, ladybug and snail. These critters can multiply your wager up to 400x in a single spin. However, the usual wins would comprise of the usual bunch – 10, J, Q, K and A. There are also Super Stacked Wild Antics Leaves, which can stay sticky throughout your reels if you are lucky.

Wild Antics is available to play from 20p to £500. The game has a rather average return to player rate of 95.51%. It’s not spectacular, but nothing to grumble about either.

Wild Antics Gameplay

Even if you’re having tonnes of fun on the regular reels, always keep an eye out on the anthill on the right hand side of the reels. During the game, Adam the Ant (the blue dude with the jetpack) may randomly emerge from the Anthill and offer you an array of fun features to choose from. Your options are as follows:

  • Aardvark Antics – Regular Reels are transformed into Wilds reels and adds 20 extra winlines (totalling 40 paylines)
  • Frantic Antics – Reel symbols are shuffled into a series of winning combinations
  • Colossal Antics – Ants march on the screen and award extra colossal wilds
  • Wild Antics – Random positions are transformed into Wild Antics

Bonus Features

It’s time to get acquainted with this colony of ants. There are four characters in the Wild Antics ant hierarchy – the Worker, Soldier, Colonel and Queen. Each little guy can summon a series of 10 extra spins (when they appear alongside two bonus symbols) and each has their own role to play during the free games.

Wild Antics Pick an Ant

Let’s start with the Purple Workers. These are your Roaming Wilds. When they appear on the board, these ants first act as the standard wild symbol. Then, on every subsequent spin, the wild will remain in play and ‘roam’ around the reels to a new position.

The Green Soldiers are the Multiplying Roaming Wilds. These guys also hang around for more than a spin. However, if two Soldier Ants roam to the same position and collide, a 2-5x win multiplier is applied to your win.

The Yellow Colonels have a little more power over the board. These guys are Expanding Roaming Wilds. Before the bonus starts, the reel frame changes to a 5×4 format with 40 winlines (double that of the regular gameplay!). Then, the Colonel Ants appears and roam around to boost your chances of winning. If two ants roams to the same position, the entire reel becomes Wild.

Wild Antics Triple Wild Reels

At the top of the ant family sits the Red Queen. As Colossal Roaming Wilds, she can cover up to 12 positions on the board. This does magnificent things to your casino balance. Additionally, 40 paylines are activated during her bonus games.

How Does The Game Perform?

The best part of Wild Antics has got to be its endearing animations. You’ll watch a colony of ants carry Colossal Wild symbols while marching across your screens; ants trying to escape from the ant-eating aardvark while throwing stones at the aardvark’s long trunk; a Colonel Ant blowing his whistle while the other ants scurry around into formation. It’s comedy, really. This colony of ants call a vibrant jungle floor home. Unfortunately for them, so does a sneaky predator (one that wears goofy blue pants, no less).

The Feature That You Should Look Out For

This fantastic art and animation is brought to you by a gaming studio called Blueprint Gaming. They are a UK-based game studio that are relatively new to the scene, but all of their productions have been runaway favourites. I am a huge fan of this one series where they transform classic computer games into slots (think Bejeweled, Plants vs Zombies and Zuma). Their jackpots are fabulous too; we have two of their titles – Jungle Jackpots and Wish Upon a Jackpot – here at Fortune Frenzy casino.

Wild Antics Big Win

And Finally…

Not often will we find slots that are as entertaining as they are profitable; or as profitable as they are entertaining. These two elements hardly come hand in hand. Wild Antics is one of the rare gems. Blueprint Gaming succeeded where others haven’t by creating wild symbols in all shapes and forms, then bringing them together in a hilarious storyline of sorts. I highly recommend that you take a spin on Wild Antics at your earliest convenience.
