As for the cartoon-y aspect, we can understand why some might find that to be a problem. After all, Scruffy Ducks received that criticism in droves. So many people were put off the by the insistent cuteness of everything that they thought that the slot was aimed at children. We can honestly see that becoming a bit of a danger here although that shouldn’t go against the slot as a game in of itself.
Although this could signify the emergence of a worrying trend for NetEnt who want to take things in a more cartoon-y direction. While there are slots out there who have a very cartoon-ish look (many of NetEnt’s slots, for example) they toe the line and don’t stray into becoming too alienating for adults.
Nonetheless, we believe that CopyCats won’t stray into that territory and will be an enjoyable slot for all. Except children, of course. Not unless NetEnt want the UKGC on their case. At worst, it could be distinctly average. But again, who knows?
