The iPhone 5s may have been announced, but with little revolutionary innovation, many mobile technology enthusiasts are looking to the iPhone 6 to be the next groundbreaking smartphone.
In terms of release date, a variety of rumours have been circulating within the industry, with predictions as early as Q1 of 2014 for its launch. More conservative estimations foresee the phone’s release date around about September 2014. But what all experts agree on is the fact that the next iPhone will have to deliver a lot more to compete with the wide variety of devices on the market.
Predicted to be a major revision of the iPhone, the iPhone 6 will have completely new features such as a new processor, a huge amount of storage, a new home button and even eye tracking, according to experts.
The iPhone 6, or so speculating fans have named it, will be released after the iPhone 5S which will be released by the end of the week.
It has been suggested that there could be three variants of the iPhone 6 in order to keep up with the various sizes and devices that mobile giants such as Samsung regularly launch. The new smartphone will also run on iOS 8, which is envisaged to be launched about September 2014.
Though Apple fans claim it’s unlikely, rumours continue to circulate about the new iPhone being in 3D. However, the popularity of 3D is beginning to decrease as other technologies take priority, such as water proofing and adding flexible OLED technology.
