The UK’s newest mobile communications network EE has recently unveiled its own range of branded hand-held devices including the UK’s first in-car 4G Wi-Fi device. The network also plans on releasing a new tablet with all devices available to both pay-as-you-go and its pay-monthly customers.
EE as a brand and operator has been received well by the industry and its customers after its successful launch and reception of its budget raptor named ‘Kestrel Smartphone’.
One Device, More Connections
Following on from ‘Kestrel’ EE have named their new super-fast 4G in-car Wi-fi hotspot device ‘Buzzard’. The device will retail around £50 to pay-as-you-go customers and will utilise the 12V cigarette/ USB port for power. The Wi-Fi hotspot will provide enough bandwidth for up to ten connections, providing portability and power. It looks like a USB dongle but its size resembles that of a drinks can.
Interestingly, EE’s product rollout continues with its new Android tablet named ‘Eagle’. Demand for the device is set to soar, and is predicted to be the ‘most affordable 4G tablet in the UK’. The Eagles components support the best and fastest 4G network speeds, has a beautiful 8inch screen, and is perfect for playing the latest Fortune Frenzy games on thanks to its quad-core processor. It also comes shipped with 16GB of memory with the option of expanding it to 32GB if desired, as well as a 5-megapixel camera.
Always Connected
EE have also released two pocket-sized Wi-Fi hotspot devices which turn the user into a walking, talking Wi-Fi hub. So, not having an internet connection maybe the thing of the past.
With all major mobile network operators vying for customers and ensuring their retention with excellent deals and new affordable prices, it is definitely a great time to be a consumer.
