Derren Brown was asked to leave Birmingham’s Broadway Plaza Casino on Saturday night after attempting to play Blackjack at their tables, it has been reported.
The 42 year old Illusionist, who was in the middle of touring the UK for his new live show INFAMOUS, was led out of a Birmingham casino by management on the evening of the 25th. However, no grudges were held, which was made clear by the picture Brown posted on Twitter of him smiling with a member of staff. He went on to explain that he has been banned from many casinos throughout his career, and that his extradition from the casino came as no surprise.
Brown was politely told that he was able to sit at the table, watch, and eat food, but that he wouldn’t be able to place a bet. Out with his friends after that night’s show, Brown watched for a small amount of time and then was soon escorted off the premises.
In 2009 Brown tried to beat the roulette table in his programme ‘How to Beat the Casino’, and actually failed to predict the number. Instead, the ball landed on the number exactly next to it, which some say was an intentional mistake. It can only be speculated whether if on Saturday night Brown was attempting to hone in his casino playing skills for a future act.
Derren Brown may be banned from a large amount of casinos across the country, but Fortune Frenzy would love the opportunity to let the conjuring celebrity know that he is always welcome to gamble on his phone on our Mobile Roulette table!
