Running out of battery during a busy day can be more than frustrating, especially if and when you need your device to make an important call and discover you have no juice left in the tank.
However, Glasgow based tech company LiGo have designed and created a unique guide for smartphone users to save their devices battery life.
All models
Featuring hundreds of individual handsets via a handy drop-down menu system containing the likes of Samsung’s flagship phone the Galaxy S5, Apple’s latest release the iPhone 6 as well as other older models and manufactures such as LG, Motorola and Sony, the guide itself gives users easy, understandable explanations about which features affect energy consumption on the device chosen and guides the user through disabling them and saving battery life.
Hidden gems
Of course, most users are well accustomed to turning off the Wi-Fi and turning down the screens brightness on their phone to save some juice but these fixes have limitations and only really scratch the surface in the pursuit of what really can be done in aiming to save some proper battery power.
Most smartphones have other, less prominent features draining valuable juice behind the scenes, most of which many users are unaware of. However, this new interactive guide (as pictured above) helps users find those lesser known tips and tricks to make your phone last longer.
Less colour
Other tips include turning off apps that run in the background and selecting dark-coloured screen savers as brighter colours consume more power.
Using the guide, participating users can click on a tip specific for that phone and are presented with the details to disable the feature to save that all important juice.
The good thing about the guide is that it doesn’t just assume that the user is using the most up to date operating system. Older operating systems are taken into consideration too as the older technology is obviously less efficient than most modern versions. You can find the handy guide here and try it for yourself.
