Thank goodness! The football season is back!
Of course, everyone here at Fortune Frenzy loves football, even the Liverpool fans. The thing is, now the season is under way, some of us reckon we’re ‘experts’ at the game.
If Louis Van Gaal hasn’t set up a 4-4-2 formation with Mata playing a free-role, frankly he doesn’t know what he’s doing. If Jose parks the bus, and puts Cuadrado on the wing some of us here will be spitting feathers!
Test our footy knowledge
So, we thought we’d put our ‘claimed’ expertise to the test. We decided to list the teams we think will finish in the top 4 this season (2015/16), compared to the so called professional ‘experts’ we know off the television like Alan partridge for example. And, do you know what, I think we’ve nailed it!
Our predictions
First in it’s Web Developer Chris.

Chris is a Chelsea fan (it’s not his fault), here are his predictions and thoughts based on this seasons transfer activity.
- Chelsea – Mourinho’s title’s always come in twos.
- Manchester City – Good start, but I still think they’ll struggle against the bigger teams and drop points where Jose’s men won’t.
- Manchester United – Lack of depth will cost them – but I think they’ll do better than last year, just not well enough. Maybe next year?
- Arsenal – It’s just where they belong. They buy decent players but they drop points where they should win, like at home to West Ham.
In at number 2 is Jacob, the social media dude.

Here are Jacob’s predictions based on his in-depth footy analysis over the course of last year and this years transfers…actually, he know squat about footy, much prefers rugby!
- Chelsea – likes the colour blue.
- Manchester City – thinks Silva is half decent…
- Arsenal – Henry used to play for them, and that’s good enough.
- Manchester United – Van Gall is a genius for selecting Shrek as captain – it’s his swamp now!
Coming in at number 3 is James, no one knows what he does.

His predictions are based on nothing more than gut feeling. Basically, this will result in utter carnage.
- Manchester City – because they’ve got Silva.
- Arsenal – because they have Sánchez.
- Chelsea – because this season Hazard will have a stinker.
- Manchester United – because they’re better than Liverpool.
Save the best till last (ed: creep) at number 4 is the Boss!

Although the Phil is one of only a handful of Leeds supporters left (Leeds United? Remember them) he had to have a say, and he doesn’t mess about!
- Chelsea – Despite them not adding a great deal to the side, I don’t think any of the other teams have improved sufficiently to challenge them, although I suspect it will be closer this year than last year.
- Arsenal – The team seem to have a little bit more about them this year than in previous years where nice triangles shrouded their soft under-belly. Cech will make a huge difference.
- Citeh (how everyone, even their own fans refer to Manchester City) – With that many stars in the team they will push Arsenal to a very close second but as last year, have they got that will and determination to go that extra 10%?
- Scum (how Leeds utd fans, OK, how all other fans refer to Manchester utd) – LVG has spent a lot, yet again, Schweinstiger particularly is a great signing, but whether all of the odd pieces fit together as a team is the question. Any team that fields Jones and Smalling is always going to be vulnerable.
There’s more predictions
The boss adds a little bit more to the mix…
My ‘Southampton Award for Surprise Packages’ nomination goes to Stoke City and Crystal Palace. Both have made some exciting signings. Whether the other part of the team can step up to the mark is another question.
Relegation will be between Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich and Sunderland, with WBA flirting too.
You heard it here first folks!
Expert predictions
OK, so we’ve had our say, lets see how our predictions stack up against the so called ‘experts’. These guys actually get paid for predicting this stuff!
The first two ‘experts’ – Graeme Souness (famous tash) and Robbie Savage (you, know, the guy famous for the hair?).
The second lot of our ‘experts’ are David James (remember him?) and Jamie Redknapp (once kicked a ball around for Liverpool).
Prediction facts
Interestingly James and Graeme Souness have both gone for Manchester City to finish top. The rest of the Frenzy team have gone for Chelsea to stay top with only Robbie Savage predicting Manchester United will win the league. Also, no one in the Frenzy team has listed Liverpool as a top four finish, unlike Graeme Souness and Robbie Savage.
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait until the end of the season to see who’s right. Our money (or rather Jacob’s money) is on us, these experts are all hair and no substance!
Have your say – vote!
Who do you think will finish top four? Nah, scrap that.
Who do you think will win the Premier League this season? Why not take our poll and compare yourself to us and others?
Go on, we dare you. Share the result with your friends on twitter and why not thump the awesome hashtag #BPL in the mix too?
